About Scania

Forward momentum. Scania was founded in 1891. Since then we have built and delivered more than 1,000,000 heavy trucks and buses

Today our company headquarters are in Sodertalje in Sweden, about 30km south of Stockholm. We are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy trucks and buses, as well as industrial and marine engines, and we operate in over 100 countries in Europe, Latin America, Australasia and Africa.

Future driven

For more than seven decades, Scania has grown by consistently investing in the future. When Scania was established trucks didn’t even have cabins—drivers sat outside on a wooden seat. Today, innovation defines what we do. Scania research and development continue to improve truck performance handling, comfort and safety.

Our core values are integral to our success: customer first, respect for the individual and quality. This is the foundation of Scania’s corporate culture and the way we do business.

Scania Australia
The ‘Griffin’ has landed. Scania is a global organisation that has been active in the Australian transport industry for over thirty years. Robust and dependable, our high performance, heavy-duty vehicles are ideal for Australian roads. Australia is an important testing ground for us. We know that if our trucks can handle the harsh environment and challenging road conditions here, then we can market them anywhere in the world with absolute confidence.
