Scania plans bus and truck production in Iraq
Scania has signed an agreement in principle with the government of Iraq to assemble trucks and buses there. The contract includes an initial delivery of 500 vehicles, with production starting during the third quarter of 2009. Operations will take place under the aegis of Iraq's State Company for Automotive Industry.
